Race Registration Open

Registration for the 2012 US Ski Mountaineering National Championships is now open. A link to registration can be found here and always to the right of the page under : Useful Links

Just as last year, registration will be online only. There is no day-of registration, nor is registration available at packet pick-up. Registration will close January 5th at 9PM (MST).

Race packet pick-up will be at Teton Mountaineering on Friday, January 6th, between 5-7pm. A map and directions to Teton Mountaineering can be found here, as well as under: Useful Links.

We are looking for volunteers for this year's race. Volunteers receive an event shirt, free pizza and beer, entry into the raffle and a voucher for a day of skiing at the JH Mountain resort.

Race entries include: The Race, pizza and beer afterwards, inclusion in an awesome raffle, wool baselayer from Outdoor Research and a surprise gift.

If you just can't get enough of a workout during the race and want to ski afterwards, you can add a post race lift ticket for $25.

Starting this year all USSMA events will adhere to ISMF rules for the Race Category

Probe: You must carry a "Production Model Probe". Probe poles will not count as probes.

Shovel: You must carry a "Production Model Shovel". Snow Claws, their ilk, or homemade shovels will not be accepted.

Boots: You must use "Unmodified Production Model Boots".
