This year we have organized a 3-stage, 2-day race. Registration is OPEN and can be found under Useful Links on the right side of the page.

Stage 1: Saturday Morning : Grand Targhee Resort

Stage 2 : Saturday Evening : Snow King Mountain (Sprint race)

Stage 3: Sunday Morning : Jackson Hole Resort



Racers will be able to participate in any one stage or the entire Stage Race.

The Snow King Race Series Starts January 9^th with a Vertical course (bottom to top on a marked uphill course) followed by two Individual races, with ascents, descents and transitions, January 30^th and February 8^th. Ski Mountaineering races, a.k.a. ‘SkiMo,’ have been growing in popularity amongst backcountry skiers and enthusiasts, on alpine touring or telemark gear. The Snow King series will have a variety of formats to challenge skiers to climb, on foot or with climbing skins, and descend on skis.

Registration is from 4:30-5:15pm in the Lodge Room at the base of Snow King, with a race start of 5:30. Shortly after the Race, awards and refreshments will be served at the Snake River Brewery. The cost of the race is $10 and includes a beer and raffle ticket. Prizes will be rewarded to first female and male in each division, the person with the heaviest gear, and the all time Average Person (Median time of all divisions). At the end of the series we will crown the ones with the most points as the Snow Queen and King. The Saturday Feb 8^th race details are TBD.
